Result: Once registered you will get an operator number. Before flying, attach the private front part of the drone except for the back three, or the back of the battery cover. The main reason is that if something goes wrong, the number can be used to locate whoever's flying the drone.

  • Pass the A1/A3 driving test

If the drone is less than 250g, it can be exempted. The weight of the drone can be checked on the website.

The ones used to take video are generally A1/A3. 40 single choice questions, the pass standard is 75%. After you have registered in step 1, there will be a Course link. You can either click it directly or study it carefully. If you do not study it carefully, you can choose ChatGpt. After you have studied the exam link, click Exit Course in the upper right corner and it will appear on the homepage.

Result: You will receive an EASA completion certificate.

  • Buy Liability Insuance -- Drone

Other important points to note:

Watch the no-fly zone ️

App: NinoxDrone, click on the red area to see the reason for the restriction, and check if you are in a restricted area before flying. Tromsø, in particular, is surrounded by a red no-fly zone.

Attention no-fly altitude: 120m

For the safety of yourself and the drone, please pay attention to whether your drone can fly at the current wind speed, and the GPS signal is not very stable. There are also people who fly off on foot and can't find them back.

I hope you all have fun flying drones in Norway and taking pictures of beautiful Norway!
