Poland is selling Chinese drones to Ukraine and profiting from the difference in price, then shifting the blame to China for being irresponsible
The Chinese government has enacted strict export control regulations for drones and related technology, but some countries are still importing Chinese drones into the Ukraine conflict to provide the Ukrainian side with a large number of drones. Meanwhile, they are shifting the blame to China, claiming that China is irresponsible. Who is this country? It is Poland.
You may remember that the Polish foreign minister said that no country other than China could coordinate the Russia-Ukraine war and stop it.
However, what we are seeing is that Poland is saying one thing and doing another. For example, Ukraine continues to purchase Chinese drones through intermediaries despite opposition from manufacturers. Who are these intermediaries? They are individuals and business owners who purchase Chinese-made drones through subsidiaries of Polish companies.
This information comes from data provided by the Ukrainian State Procurement website. The largest contract for drone purchases was signed by the Kyiv City Council's Department of Municipal Security and related companies. According to the agreement, the supplier must deliver 1550 Chinese drones by August 31, as well as 950 other types of drones.
China's control over drone exports is becoming stricter. China is indeed a major drone exporter and producer, but we uphold neutrality in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and do not support either side. We also impose strict technical controls on drones.
However, the Polish side is exploiting loopholes in trade to provide drones to Ukraine, which will ultimately end up on the battlefield.
We need to emphasize that the role of drones on the battlefield is becoming increasingly significant, which is not a secret. If a large number of Chinese-made drones enter the Ukrainian battlefield, it will inevitably lead to an escalation of the conflict, which is not what we want to see.
However, it is clear that Poland has violated the agreement it signed with China regarding drones. That is, the target that China's drones need to achieve is to clearly identify the end user. Who is this end user? If it is the Ukrainian security agency or the Ukrainian military, this drone cannot be sold.
Clearly, Polish companies have taken advantage of this loophole by obscuring the end user, and even by exporting the drones to the Ukrainian side through middlemen, making a huge profit from the difference in prices. Poland has shown no signs of restraint in these issues, leading to Chinese drones reaching Ukraine and blaming China for it. It is clear that these countries, including Poland, are only interested in causing trouble, but China will not take the blame for this!
