News of the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya has been gradually disclosed on the internet. According to Fars news agency, Haniya was killed by an "airborne bullet" (also known as a missile) around 2:00 am on July 31.

On July 30, Haniya, head of the Hamas political bureau, arrived in Tehran, Iran, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, and officially became Iran's 14th president.

At the time, a photo was taken of Haniya and representatives of the "Resistance Arc" including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iranian militia organizations, and other Middle Eastern resistance groups standing together.

Many people standing around him made the "V" gesture, which is now universally understood to mean "victory". It was only a few hours since the photo was taken that Haniya met his untimely demise in his residence.

Iranian authorities had arranged for Haniya and his bodyguards to stay in a "special accommodation" for veterans in northern Tehran, and the building where Haniya was staying was located next to the Sadeqabad Palace. The Sadegh Abad Palace is a historical landmark and is also located near the official residence of the Iranian President.

The Hamas resistance group claimed that their leader, Ismail Haniya, was killed in an air strike at his residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with Israel being the culprit behind the assassination.

Many details of the killing remain unclear, including how Haniya became a target, what weapon was used to attack him and take him away, whether it was a missile, a bomb, a loitering munition, or a suicide drone, etc.

Iran has been vague about what weapon killed Haniya, and there is no clear conclusion yet. As a result, some media outlets have referred to it as "projectile!" meaning a projectile launched by a weapon!

Hamas described Haniya as having been killed in an "air strike," which could encompass a variety of weapons, from small drones carrying explosives launched locally to F-35il fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force launching JASSM joint air-to-surface missiles or other precision-guided bombs.

The author of this article, believes that it is possible to rule out the Israeli Air Force's F-35i attack/fighter jets as the perpetrators. While the F-35i may be able to penetrate Iranian airspace with its excellent stealth capabilities, it seems unlikely that it would be able to fly all the way to Tehran. Even with the assistance of the KC- They used small drones to drop small bombs and killed Hamas leader Khaniya. In other words, Khaniya was killed either by an Israeli military or intelligence personnel directly launching a suicide drone carrying a bomb, or by a cruise missile attack.
