Huang Renxun announced that NVIDIA will accelerate the global adoption of humanoid robot technology
Recently, CNMO learned that NVIDIA announced at the SiGGRAPH conference that it would provide a full suite of services, models, and software platforms to leading robot manufacturers, AI model developers, and software manufacturers around the world to develop, train, and build the next generation of humanoid robots.
The full suite of products includes NVIDIA NIM microservices and frameworks for robot simulation and learning, NVIDIA OSMO orchestration services for running multi-stage robot workloads, and support for AI and simulation remote operation workflows that allow developers to train robots using a small amount of human demonstration data.
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang said, "The next wave of AI is robots, and one of the most exciting developments is humanoid robots. We are pushing forward the entire NVIDIA robotics stack, making it open to developers and companies worldwide, so they can use the platforms, acceleration libraries, and AI models that best meet their needs."
It's worth noting that on March 19th of this year, NVIDIA showed the world its first humanoid robot model. Huang Renxun excitedly stated that with the rapid development of AI technology, humanoid robots are no longer a distant dream and are gradually showing very high practical value and broad application potential. He further pointed out: "Developing a general humanoid robot base model is one of the most challenging topics in the AI field. We are very pleased to see that global robotics technology leaders are gathering their strength to explore and practice, with the aim of achieving a historic breakthrough in this field."
